Cookie Policy
Last updated: 18 August 2026
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the site owner.
2. How MyMoveMate uses cookies
MyMoveMate uses strictly necessary cookies and browser storage only. These are required for the website to function correctly and cannot be switched off. They are set in response to actions you take, such as logging in or filling in forms. Your sign-in session is held in your browser's local storage rather than a traditional cookie, but we treat it the same way: essential, and never used for tracking.
3. The cookies we use
We use the following types of essential cookies:
- Authentication cookies - to keep you signed in to your account securely as you move between pages
- Session cookies - to maintain your active session and remember temporary preferences during your visit
- Security cookies - to protect against cross-site request forgery and other security threats
Our hosting platform, Lovable, also records aggregate, non-identifying page-view counts so we can see how much the site is being used. These figures are counts only - they do not build a profile of you, are not shared with advertisers, and are not used to target you.
4. What we don't use
MyMoveMate does not use any of the following:
- Advertising or marketing cookies
- Third-party tracking cookies
- Third-party analytics suites such as Google Analytics
- Social media cookies
- Profiling or behavioural targeting cookies
Because we only use strictly necessary cookies and storage, and the aggregate counts described above do not identify you, we do not need to ask for your consent under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) before setting them.
5. Managing cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. However, please note that disabling our essential cookies will prevent you from being able to log in to or use MyMoveMate properly. For more information on managing cookies in your browser, visit aboutcookies.org.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this cookie policy from time to time, for example if we change the way we use cookies. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date.
7. Contact
If you have any questions about our use of cookies, please contact us at hello@mymovemate.co.uk.
